There are lots of misconceptions about minimalism and many people asking, what’s it really all about?
The images below show the ethos I live by, as a minimalist – my kind of minimalist.
It doesn’t matter if it isn’t an exact replica of the rules of anyone else who call themselves a minimalist. We all need to take responsibility for our own lives and how we live, so never let anyone dictate what you should and shouldn’t be doing when it comes to your lifestyle.
Be true to yourself. You get to choose exactly how your home looks, obviously taking into account the needs and desires of the people with whom you share your home. Social media ‘influencers’ will try to make you want a certain aesthetic, because they’re making money from it when you buy their recommendations.
