If you read any books about Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga), they tell us that the Danish word hygge can’t easily be translated into English, and that the simple meaning is generally, ‘a feeling of cosiness and contentment’. That’s nice, but we are left wondering: can we all be as happy as the Danes?
Hygge is a philosophy that’s been around for centuries, but it’s become increasingly popular in recent years. This is likely due to the fact that it offers a simple and effective way to de-stress and relax in a world that is increasingly fast-paced and stressful.

Now, it may be the middle of summer (you’d be forgiven for thinking otherwise right now in the UK, unlike the poor southern-Europeans who are suffering in extreme heat) but Autumn is already on our mind.
